Celebrate Others, Even When You’re Stuck

Do you feel like you are in a rut? Are you putting forth lots of effort and not seeing the fruit of
your labor? Maybe you are in a season where you need to learn about patience.

Patience. I am not good at it, and I never have been. I’m not sure I ever will be. It’s not that I’m
necessarily impatient, I just don’t like waiting. I like having a plan. I like knowing what is going to
happen and when it’s going to happen. I don’t like the unknown.

I am currently in a season where I am trying to be patient and bloom where I am planted. I am
trying to learn what God is trying to teach me. I am trying to be present in all that I do. I am
trying not to make plans for the future, and just take one day at a time. For a Type A, planning,
OCD personality like myself, this is a struggle!

What would happen if we all supported each other, no matter what season we were going
through? I heard Annie F. Downs say the other day, “We all have our own deck of cards, and
just because someone else is winning does NOT mean that we are losing.” Amen! Each of us
has been given our own deck of cards, and my deck does not affect yours. Let’s learn how to
celebrate other women and their accomplishments, even when we are stuck in a season of
doubt and uncertainty.

Let’s not forget that everyone has struggled to get to where they are today. Everyone has a
story. Everyone has things they messed up and choices they would re-do if given the
opportunity. Don’t compare your journey to anyone else’s. Your journey is yours and yours

I challenge you to accept the season that you are in. Continue to plant seeds, put in the hours,
and hustle like only you know how to do. You will look back on this season and smile one day
looking at how far you’ve come.

Kelsey is one of those people who will tell you that Texas is the best state and Nashville is the best city. She loves traveling, exploring, local coffee shops, and reading. Thankfully she has a job that allows her to do all of these things. She is fluent in sarcasm, wants to be Jess from New Girl, and above all wants to build other women up instead of tearing them down.  All of her social media handles are @riotkelsey and she blogs over at riotkelsey.wordpress.com
